John Forest Bymaster is a proud 1998 graduate of Lebanon High School. He later graduated from Indiana University School of Law in 2005. John Bymaster began the study of bankruptcy in 2002 during law school. His research culminated in an advanced study entitled, “Bankruptcy: The Restoration of Public Productivity.” This project focused on the dramatic changes to the bankruptcy code put in to effect in 2005.
Knowing that experience is the best teacher, John Bymaster accepted a position as an attorney at the largest bankruptcy firm in the mid-west. He quickly gained valuable, specialized experience that sets him apart from other offices offering bankruptcy. Although he eventually became the managing attorney for that firm’s Indiana offices, he remained convinced that he could create a better experience for his clients by starting a new office.
Thus, Bymaster Bankruptcy Law Office, a new type of Full-Service Bankruptcy office was created right here in the Indianapolis area. Bankruptcy Attorney John Bymaster now proudly serves the debt relief needs of all of Indiana.

Anna Carothers (Bymaster)
Anna Bymaster (now Carothers) joined the team in 2008 to help co-found Bymaster Bankruptcty Law Offices. Anna was the first advanced paralegal.
Being a family-based office, John Bymaster originally started the office with his sister, Anna. Continuing with the Bymaster family tradition that John and his sister began, the office has now helped thousands of people get out of debt over the years. Anna helped John design the stress-free, affordable style that our office offers to help people find financial freedom.
The main office is located at a property that has been in the Bymaster family since the 1940’s. Our family has been in the same area around our office for multiple generations. We are excited to share true Indiana hospitality with everyone who comes to our office.
