AFFORDABLE INDIANAPOLIS BANKRUPTCY ATTORNEY FEES
We strive to be an Affordable Indianapolis Bankruptcy Attorney. Although we must examine each situation on a case by case basis, we try to be as upfront about our fees as possible. Because our fees are lower than many places, it is much to our advantage to be upfront with them:
CHAPTER 7: Super Affordable Payment Plans Available
We charge $870 to $1270 for most Chapter 7 cases*. (Sometimes Lower). Special payment plan setups can get your case filed fast!
(Some cases we charge $599-$770 because of fixed income or severe economic hardship. Rarer, complex cases can exceed $1270, such as some “means test” and business cases. These more complex cases are over $1270.)
CHAPTER 13: Usually filed $0 Down.*
On most Chapter 13 cases we charge $0 down to file. (Sometimes we charge an amount down in mortgage conduit cases or other complex cases).
Then, Chapter 13 Trustee will pay any remaining court-set fees out of the proceeds from your case. Because of this, it is easy, affordable, and fast to file a Chapter 13.
*NOTE: The Indiana Bankruptcy Court charges $338 to file a Chapter 7 and $313 to file a Chapter 13. You will also be responsible for paying this court fee in addition on every bankruptcy case. Our office will collect and transfer your court cost payment to the court.

AFFORDABLE OR “CHEAP” BANKRUPTCY ATTORNEY?
Bymaster Bankruptcy Law Office is a VERY affordable Indiana bankruptcy office, but we never want to become a “cheap” Indiana bankruptcy office. Why? Because sometimes a bankruptcy in Indiana that is “cheap” IS NOT ALSO friendly, experienced, and dependable. Sometimes looking for the cheapest option – such as an online option or an option that sounds too good to be true – can be a very bad idea that can end up being much more difficult and costly in the long run.
Therefore, at Bymaster Bankruptcy Law Office, we strive to be a VERY affordable Indianapolis Bankruptcy Attorney option, but we have never strived to be a CHEAP Indianapolis Bankruptcy option.

HOW MUCH DOES BANKRUPTCY COST IN INDIANA?
Most people in Indiana want to find an experienced and dependable bankruptcy Attorney, but many also want to save as much money as possible with the attorney’s fees by finding a cheap bankruptcy attorney. Our office charges $870- $1270 and offers $0 down options. The fee that Indianapolis Bankruptcy Attorneys generally charge for Chapter 7 is about $1400-$2000 for their attorney fee. We instead charge less at $870-$1270 on the attorney fee part.
However, many other Indiana and Indianapolis Bankruptcy Attorneys will charge as much as $2000-$2500 for a Chapter 7 bankruptcy on the higher end. We charge $870-$1270 or much less. Some cases are even much less – for fixed income.
The more affordable end of the spectrum for Indianapolis bankruptcy lawyers is usually when they charge less than $1000 on attorney fees, ranging at different levels but staying usually at around $900-$1300. Sometimes, some Indiana Bankruptcy attorneys will charge even less, but usually only on limited pro-bono, charity cases. These cheap bankruptcy attorneys may only be available in very rare or limited situations such as fixed income charity cases.
I WANT TO KEEP MY INDIANA BANKRUPTCY CHEAP, WHY DO I HAVE TO PAY THE COURT COST?
In addition to attorney fees, the U.S. Bankruptcy Court charges $338 for Chapter 7 bankruptcy. If you file a Chapter 13 bankruptcy, the court fee of $313 is charged by the U.S. Bankruptcy Court. We are required by law to collect that fee from you and then pay it to the court. Even though we want to keep your Indiana bankruptcy case affordable or “cheap,” these fees are required to allow the Federal bankruptcy system to operate. Without these charges, the assigned bankruptcy trustee, the bankruptcy court, and the judge who signs your discharge of debts – all the administrative expenses of bankruptcy – would be no longer possible to continue.
WHY CAN BANKRUPTCY ATTORNEYS NEAR INDIANAPOLIS BE MORE AFFORDABLE THAN THE ONES FARTHER FROM INDIANAPOLIS?
Although it is not universal across the board, many times you can find some more affordable bankruptcy attorneys near Indianapolis than in areas further away from central Indiana. The reason why many times cheaper Indianapolis-area bankruptcy attorneys can be found is usually because of three reasons: 1) the Indianapolis bankruptcy attorneys are closer to the federal courthouse for their hearings, 2) certain Indianapolis bankruptcy attorneys sometimes focus on cheaper bankruptcy services because of the larger market, 3) the larger market (more people) allows more specialization which makes bankruptcy cheaper.
Just because an attorney in a small town or area far from Indianapolis charges much more for bankruptcy is not because they are being disagreeable: it simply costs more either in actual or efficiency costs many times for those attorneys to do your case. You may be able to find a cheaper bankruptcy attorney closer to Indianapolis.
