Jesus Christ rose from the grave. The Bible is very REAL and TRUE. Jesus is alive and wants you to meet him personally.
God wants to have a relationship with you. Below are important truths from the Bible:
Sin has separated you from God -In the Bible, “sin” is defined as choosing our will over the will of God. We have all broken God’s commandments. Everyone has been selfish, sinning against God and the people that surround them in life. We have each made the “sin” mistake (Romans 3:23). Our entire race has been born into this mistake. Our sins have separated us from a holy God, and because of our sin He can’t allow us into his perfect kingdom. Instead of being united with God, we are destined to spend eternity separated from God in hell. God made provision to “save” mankind from this fate.
You cannot repair your broken relationship with God – Some people think that we can earn God’s forgiveness by doing good or by being religious. The Bible teaches that the only payment for sin is death. Someone must die for the sins that we committed, so that we can be reconciled to God. (Romans 6:23; Ezekiel 18:20).
Jesus died on the cross to for the debt of our sins – Jesus was sinless and owed no debt to God, so he could pay for all of humanity’s sins. He took our place on the cross and suffered the death that we deserved. Because of the death and resurrection of Jesus, it is possible for God to justly forgive our sins and offer us salvation. (Romans 5:8; 2 Corinthians 5:21; 1 Peter 2:24)
You must receive the gift that Jesus died to give you – Jesus died to save us from a horrible fate. You need to receive this gift of salvation through faith (believing, trusting). You need to believe that Jesus died for your sins and rose again. You must believe Jesus really was the promised Messiah, the Son of God that he claimed to be. In faith, you have to completely rely on Jesus to make you right with God. Because Jesus died on the cross, your sins have already been forgiven. Make the decision to put God on the throne as your Lord and Savior of your life!
Do you believe? You may believe but are wondering how you can make this decision in your heart and express this faith. There is no single “prayer” that will make you a Christian, but the prayer below is for some guidance . But, what matters is your heart – let your calling on the Lord come from your heart. Just pray in your heart and confess to the Lord and others that you Believe!
Thank you for loving me and forgiving my sins. I believe that Jesus died on the cross to pay the penalty for my sins. I know Jesus then rose again! I admit that I am a sinner, and that I need you to save me. I can NEVER do it alone! I ask that you forgive my sins and I turn from them now. I invite Jesus into my life as my Lord and Savior. I turn my whole life over to Jesus. I am asking you, God, to help me live for Jesus as long as I live. Thank you for giving me eternal life and making me your child. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
If you meant the above, then Jesus meant it too! Ask God to teach you through the Holy Spirit! Read the Bible and start assembling together with other Bible-believing Christians any chance you get. Trust God and his Word alone and he will guide you into amazing truths and a wonderful new life!
